Mulberry.

Mulberry.
I have a complete and utter obsession with it.
 I absolutely love it.
It is gorgeous.
I will own everything Mulberry one day but for now I have to stalk the website continously, go into the shop every time I pass it, check their blog - http://blog.mulberry.com/, follow them on #twitter and go on the app on my iPhone.
So yeah, OCD!

However...I got thee best surprise ever from my boyfriends parents for my birthday...a lovely Mulberry coin purse.
It. Is. Beautiful.

  • Gorgeouse Red Leather Purse with Mulberry Tree detailing on the front
  • Zip Closure
  •  Grosgrain Lined Interiort (yes I got these details from the website).

Pat-a-cake, Pat-a-cake bakers man...

This post is being written from the hometown of Arbroath, in the home of the Howell's ... it's good to be home! :)

Although I am, excuse the term, ball deep in Uni work, I have an appointment so came home a day early to spend some time with the parents and my gorgeous little nephew, who the world of blogging is yet to meet. He is adorable. Gorgeous. Cute. Handsome. One of my best friends (even though he is 3 years old).

Whenever I come home, which isn't often, I always make a point of doing something special with him as a treat, and for some quality Auntie Kerry and Kai time, or team KH as we both have the same initials. I am his only Auntie which makes the time even more precious to me. Kai always gets to choose what we do, and it usually involves baking cakes as nobody else has the patients to do it with him haha. And today wasn't anything different. He wanted to make a big one for Granny and Grandad to share with him - such a thoughtful little boy he is.

As a 3 year old he likes to try and do it all by himself so it can take some time, but it is all time well spent, as he speaks away throughout telling me "I love making cakes, but only with you Auntie Kerry" -  he knows how to make me smile and melt my heart. He even gets his little creative side out and decorates them so they look "lovely and delicious."

Spending time with my nephew is the best <3

Yorkshire.

My boyfriend is from Yorkshire. He went home for the week and I went down to join him and his family towards the end of the week...a well deserved break from Uni and the stress of life, which I think I more than needed! As usual, the in-laws made sure I was fed well - home made lasagne, sunday roast dinner, cooked breakfast, home  made muffins, flapjack, brownie, cakes, lemon meringue pie - I put on about half a stone every visit I have down there, as you can probably tell! My mouth is watering just thinking about all the lovely food!!

Leaving Scotland, I was expecting slightly warmer weather than here, but no! To meet my arrival into York, was my boyfriend, his dad and about 6 inches of snow! Good job I packed my wellies! A drive that usually takes 45 minutes, took one and a half hours due to the weather, to get to my boyfriends parents house!

The next day we decided on a trip to Whitby on the east coast, somewhere I have never been, but wanted to go to! Beautiful scenery driving over there...felt a bit like the Highlands in Scotland but not as hilly...if that makes sense?! It was freezing when we got to Whitby, so all wrapped up when went for a walk around the town where Dracula allegedly lives, or was spotted?! Lovely little seaside town it is, so much character, although very quiet due to the weather. But that didn't stop us following traditions and having a fish supper  by the sea, and quite good fish and chips it was.

Some snaps...

Drive over to Whitby

Whitby - so pretty

The Abbey - Dracula's house?!

If you have never been to Whitby, make sure you go! I will be sure to go back in the summer months. Other than the trip to Whitby, my boyfriend and I went to his hometown of Leeds for a look round where he used to go as a child - it's lovely being able to feel part of a life that you didn't know. Lovely walk around the lake at Roundhay park, amazing lunch at a lovely bar, then it was time to return home for a massive cooked dinner! Overall a lovely few days away from the dreaded Uni work (and a blog update to prolong the work)

Me.

Soooo who am I?!

Ok so a little bit about myself.

I am Kerry, a 24 year old student from a little fishing town on the east coast of Scotland called Arbroath. That is where my family stay, but I moved to Edinburgh about 3 and a half years ago for pastures new and to study at University. I miss my family and my home, as in my house there, but not the town. Like everywhere these days, it has nothing going for it, no jobs, no good shops, etc, So for the time being I class Edinburgh as my home.

As mentioned, I study, and jesus I have been doing a lot of that recently. I am in 4th year, the big bad year, that no previous years at Uni can built you up to. Dissertation, amongst other deadlines, so yeah it is ALOT of work just now. But dont ever let that put you off Uni, 'cause I have had thee best four years living here. I have met some amazing friends from all walks of life, I have the pleasure of being able to live in such a beautiful city and I have met my boyfriend (and here comes the cheesy bit), so yeah I am glad I made the move here. In between doing Uni work, seeing my boyfriend, family and friends, I work as a waitress...fits in with Uni and my life (most of the time) so can't complaint about it, well too much haha.

My future... Not really sure what path my life will take after Uni though...massive confused brain alert! Jobs are more scarce than ever because of the recession, so I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Well I have some ideas but don't know for sure, so plan is to get any job, work, earn some monies and then decide what career path to take?! However the thought of being in the big wide world is scary. But I can't stay in my little student bubble forever...or can I?!
